Halibut Fishing - Kenai Alaska

World-class Alaska halibut fishing is synonymous with Kenai, and first-class accommodations with Salmon Catcher Lodge.

Fish with experienced and fully united States Coast Guard Licensed Captains off the waters of Deep Creek Alaska.

The fishing begins in late May with King Salmon and Halibut combo trips. Go out and troll for the giant King Salmon in the salt water on their way to the river systems for their May, June and July spawning runs. Then head out to the Halibut grounds to fish for one of the best eating fish in Alaska. Fish are regularly taken from 20 to 100 lbs. with a few taken every year from 100 to 300 lbs.

Salmon Catcher Lodge encourages our clients to release Halibut over 100 lbs. These are the breeding stock for the world class halibut fishing here and in most cases the fish are older than the fisherman catching them. This is just a request and it is totally up to the client to make the choice to release that fish.

All of our boats have heated cabins and rest room facilities, safety equipment and radios. All top of the line fishing equipment is provided on the boat.
